ORTHO 2012

The Informatik company announced in June, 2012 the beginning of sales of the first updated system of spell check ORTHO 2012 for Windows. The dictionary of the program constantly is improved in cooperation with Institute of Russian of V.V. Vinogradov.

ORTHO 2012 is a set of professional tools for spell check of texts and their processing. Being built in a packet of Microsoft Office, the modules ORFO considerably increase quality of spell check, supplement and expand its opportunities in work both with Russian, and with other languages.

In the new ORTHO 2012 version:

• The new module of spelling of Russian developed in cooperation with Institute of Russian of V.V. Vinogradov which is the leading center of scientific research for Russian in Russia and abroad which problems assessment of speech innovations in terms of their normativity and codification of regulations of the literary language enters. When developing the existing recommendations of the spelling commission of RAS are also considered.
• In comparison with the built-in means of MS Office, in ORTHO 2012 a large number of words with wrong writing is corrected, the words which had several options of writing the new words, neologisms, names of the known companies are added.
• The full support of letter Yo at spell check with a possibility of its arrangement is implemented. There was a new intelligent mechanism of the many-placed hint for a misspelled word. Besides, for ensuring better check spelling dictionaries are constantly updated according to the last recommendations of the spelling commission and Institute of V.V. Vinogradov.
• New module of a grammar check and style. In comparison with the built-in means of MS Office, new grammatical rules of check are added to ORTHO 2012. Former rules are specified and added. Inaccuracies are corrected. Examples of errors which will be recognized by ORTHO 2012, but the module of grammar of MS Office (http://www.informatic.ru/download/Primer.doc) does not define.

Verifiability of spelling in the edited windows of the majority of Windows applications, for example QIP, Skype, ICQ, Google Chrome and many others. On clicking of the Alt+A hot key the text is copied in ORFO-Redaktor, and after check returns to a window from which it was copied.

The interface of the program of settings is processed, the new plug-in for MS Word 2007/2010 with advanced functionality and a possibility of automatic correction of typical errors of Russian appeared.

Now two ORTHO 2012 versions are available to acquisition. The professional version allows to check spelling in texts in the Russian, Ukrainian and English languages. Professional plus includes all functionality of the Professional version and also additional thematic slovnik for the Russian and English languages.

The cost of the license includes one year of updates of dictionaries of spelling, templates of grammatical check and software modules.
