Cisco Cloud Connected Solution

According to the report under name 2012 Cisco Global Cloud Networking Survey ("The global research of cloud network computing conducted by Cisco® company in 2012"), most of heads of IT departments consider network, ready to deployment of cloud computing, the main requirement for migration of business applications in cloud environments. Considering it, on June 12 within the annual CiscoLive conference! the Cisco company announced the solution Cisco Cloud Connected Solution. It includes three crucial elements:

• Cloud Connectors software. Represents the new software modules unrolled on the platform of routing ISR G2 interacting with cloud services. It provides performance improvement, security and availability of cloud applicaions. Using an open architecture of software of Cloud Connectors, telecom operators and their partners can develop own software modules of Cloud Connector, that having an opportunity to offer the customers unique services.
• The platforms supporting use of cloud computing. The Cisco company provided the virtual router Cisco Cloud Services Router (CSR) using which customers can provide connection to private virtual networks (VPN) in clouds. Besides, Cisco complemented the ASR family with the new Cisco ASR 1002-X router and provided the server modules Cisco UCS® of series E for ISR G2 routers.
• The innovation cloud services. To strengthen support of cloud computing, in addition to the existing platforms of optimization of routers and a global network the Cisco company provided the new technology of identification and control of the Cisco Application Visibility and Control (AVC) applications integrated into the ASR and ISR G2 platforms (that allows to optimize access to cloud applicaions on network) and also the server modules Cisco UCS® of series E for ISR G2 routers. The Cisco AppNav technology provides an intellectual clustering of physical and virtual platforms for deployment of Cisco WAAS services in a uniform pool of resources, managed C with the help of the central controller.

Locating the customer base consisting of more than 500 thousand customers and an impressive share (78.6%) of global market of corporate routers [1], the Cisco company has a unique opportunity to head conversion of a global network, using the corporate platforms of routing and the solution Cisco Cloud Connected Solution.

The solution Cisco Cloud Connected Solution represents a basic element of the intelligent Cisco cloud network which in total with the unified data processing center of Cisco and cloud applicaions and Cisco services helps to create an environment from a set of clouds. Besides, the Cisco company offers advanced versions of already existing solutions of routing, security and optimization of a global network (including the innovative solutions for a global network) and also new features and models of ASR, ISR G2 and WAAS devices.

The following new products are a part of the solution Cisco Cloud Connection Solution:

• the router for cloud services of CSR 1000v – gives the chance to use a broad spectrum of the Cisco services intended for net surfing and security in a form factor of the virtual device for deployment in cloud environments. It, in turn, allows the organizations to exercise control of network resources of corporate network at migration in cloud environments, and provides to providers of cloud services an opportunity to get an additional profit by application of flexible model on demand "network as service".
• The Cisco WAAS 5.0 service with AppNav technology – allows customers to virtualize the system of optimization of operation of applications on a global network a join path of appropriate resources in the uniform flexible pool distributed on a request and on a basis the politician with the minimum level of cross-network delays. Cisco WAAS 5.0 with AppNav provides the protected connections with clouds and access to applications and also the elastic model of deployment providing gradual scaling of infrastructure. It does possible acceleration of operation of applications within all network of the organization and control over network performance. The Cisco AppNav technology can be set on a hardware module of the available Cisco Wide Area Virtualization Engine (WAVE) devices or as software on the new router for cloud services of CSR.
• The Cisco ASR 1002-X router – gives to the organizations the chance to increase efficiency on the global area network almost seven times and to provide flexibility of deployment of infrastructure thanks to a possibility of gradual performance improvement of a system in process of growth of business needs. This model supports step-by-step performance improvement to 36 Gbit/sec. at active network services for environments of perimeter of a global network, Internet perimeter and also environments of the managed services. Besides, in addition to support of FlexVPN technology on ASR 1000 routers, for creation of IPsec of VPN connections like "network network" and IPsec VPN of remote access the Cisco company offers ESP-100G – the readdressing processor for the products ASR of series 1000 used for deployments on network edge in cloud environments.

All products are already available in the market. The exception is made by CSR 1000v, support of AppNav on the CSR and Cisco UCS platform of series E for Cisco ISR G2 routers – their delivery will begin in the 4th quarter 2012. The ASR 1002-X router will be available since July, 2012.
