The Avtotreker system manages public transport Belgorod

On June 19, 2012 the Russian Navigation Technologies (RNT) company announced end of the first stage of the large project within which the GLONASS/GPS system of monitoring and control of Avtotreker transport was set on 601 units of city passenger transport Belgorod. Further the number of the CU, connected to a system, will increase to 950. Motor transport belongs to Belkomtrans LLC, the largest regional carrier servicing city and suburban routes of Belgorod.

The project is executed together with FabIT LLC company – the official dealer of RNT to Belgorod.

Were installed on each vehicle: GLONASS receiver, set of an aircraft equipment Avtotreker and also "disturbing button" and system of a voice communication. This configuration of the equipment allows not only to plan optimum use of transport, to control its location and movements, to keep accurate accounting of the runs, number working with the CU and their distribution on route but also to considerably increase security on transport (due to control of the high-speed mode and two complementary types of communication of the manager with drivers). Besides, implementation of this solution allowed to fulfill the requirements of federal and regional regulations for the equipment of passenger transport GLONASS systems.

Further data on the movement CU will be transferred from the corporate dispatching center Belkomtrans LLC to regional dispatching office for monitoring of transport. On the basis of this information already by the end of summer the social service for inhabitants and city visitors allowing them to monitor work of public transport and to learn arrival time on a necessary stop of transport of the necessary route will be started. By the end of 2012 – jointly with Sberbank of Russia – it is going to place at several large stops the information terminals providing access to this information.

Among requirements which the customer imposed to a monitoring system, we will note high reliability of the used equipment, a long guarantee (three years) and also complex post warranty system maintenance. Besides, in the territory of the city the partner or the representative of developer company had to reside. One more essential wish of Belkomtrans LLC is a scalability of the solution and an opportunity to involve practically any sensors to monitor fuel level variations, to conduct calculation of passengers, to implement the systems of photo and video registration, etc.

At the first stage the Avtotreker system was brought into operation on several most demanded city routes of public transport. After completion of implementation on all city transport it is going to connect to it and intercity passenger transport of Belkomtrans LLC company.
