Jet Infosystems upgrade a local computer network "Aviastar joint venture"

"Aviastar joint venture" and Jet Infosystems company announce completion of works on design and upgrade of a core of the local computer network (LCN) of aircraft-building plant. Works were conducted in two key body of the plant where the center of the computer network is concentrated. As a result network transmission capacity increased by 10 times, the number of failures because of network equipment decreased to zero, and the capacity of network can be increased up to 5000 client ports.

The configuration existing in "Aviastar joint venture" of a LAN had no sufficient potential for work of modern business applications and complicated connection of new objects and platforms. To achieve compliance of opportunities of a LAN to requirements of the plant, the management "Aviastar joint venture" made the decision on upgrade of network.

The contractor of the project selected Jet Infosystems company. Experts of the company conducted examination of the existing network by own technique. Following the results the technical detail design and the detailed plan of interface of the existing network to new were created, the scheme of transfer of servers and workstations on the new equipment is developed, the complete set of the corresponding operational documentation is prepared.

Today the most critical fragment of a LAN – a core of network is upgraded. Experts of Jet Infosystems company installed the equipment Cisco, mounted optical lines of communication between the body, carried out autonomous tests of the equipment and worked migration process. Upgrade of a core was carried out without shutdown of working network that allowed to provide the continuity of production processes of the enterprise.

"Now the computer network of the plant provides productive interaction of 3000 users and has a possibility of further increase in port capacity without replacement of the equipment of the kernel level and distribution almost twice. It will allow us to scale network taking into account emergence of new platforms and to increase volumes of the transmitted data with preserving of the high level of communication quality", – Dontsov Vasily, the head of department of IT of Aviastar-SP Ltd sums up the results of complete works.

Taking into account this trend also the problem of upgrade of a LAN is solved today. Development plans for IT infrastructure of the plant include further upgrade of a LAN which will allow to improve performance, scalability, reliability and controllability of network, to implement mechanisms of quality control of service of applications.
