The AlphaInsurance insurance group implements the platform of management of business rules

The AlphaInsurance group implemented the platform of management of the business rules IBM WebSphere ILOG BRMS. The project is implemented in cooperation with CROC company.

Solution

Insurance companies use in work about two thousand different business rules — from calculations of rates for all types of insurance to ratings, data validations of clients, etc. The management of such information volume requires a lot of time and complicates business development therefore the increasing number of large insurance companies uses platforms of the class Business Rule Management System (BRMS).

AlphaInsurance made the decision to implement a single platform of management of business rules for calculation of rates in the direction of car insurance (the COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE, the CMTPL, Green card) and also calculation of the sizes of a commission fee of agents.
