The Altai State University will organize access from the reading room to library of Yeltsin

At the Altai state university opening of the electronic reading room with remote access to resources of Library of B.N. Yeltsin took place. Information infrastructure of the hall is designed and implemented by "Galex scientific and technological center" based on the equipment of Cisco company.

Solution

For ensuring work of the electronic reading room with specialists of Galex company the wire and wireless local computer network, a congress system and the system of a video conferencing are implemented. All-construction works are in addition performed, including heating systems, power supply and lighting are replaced, the ventilation system is constructed.

The unrolled network infrastructure of library integrated in itself the high-performance local and wireless network allowing visitors to connect personal devices. The solution implemented based on the Cisco switches Catalyst and wireless access points of Cisco Aironet differs in ease of use and high fault tolerance, provides high degree of safety of connection of users to a local network of university, to resources of Presidential library and the Internet.

Result

The new hall will allow students and teachers to carry out video conferences, to broadcast protection of theses in the Internet and to organize video bridges, thanks to an installed system of a video conferencing based on the equipment Cisco Telepresence C20. In addition to ensuring high definition of the image (HD) the solution Cisco differs in rich functionality, simplicity of implementation, management and operation.
