"BAT Russia" updated the agreement with DeviceLock

The SmartLine company, the developer of software tools of access control to peripheral devices and protection against date leaks from corporate computers, announced implementation of the software package DeviceLock (development of SmartLine) in "British American Tobacco Russia" company.

In "Russia" works with BAT a branched information system with a set of crucial objects and subsystems. For this reason the company pays special attention to information security support of the data. In particular, "BAT Russia" annually carries out the assessment of a current status of an information security system using auditing companies. Implementation of the software package DeviceLock allowed "to BAT Russia" to fix a problem of access isolation of users to USB ports of workstations.

Project Development

On April 25, 2014 it became known - the Russian division of British American Tobacco ("BAT Russia") updated licenses of the solution DeviceLock.

Since 2012 "BAT Russia" uses DeviceLock for access isolation of users to USB ports of workstations.

"We considered solutions of different vendors, but selected DeviceLock. At reasonable price relation and qualities this product best of all was suitable for our infrastructure and allowed to solve assigned tasks", - noted Gennady Golenev, the safety manager "BAT Russia". - "Russia" continues by BAT operation DeviceLock and cooperation with the companies Smart Line Ink and Softline. Implementation went without problems, installation was made in the background and did not influence business processes. We used this solution more than a year and we can note simplicity of its installation, setup and operation".
