The Western Digital company, producer of hard drives, provided in June, 2012 in Russia WD Sentinel DX4000 - full-fledged network storage for small and medium business. WD Sentinel DX4000 functions based on the Intel processor D525 Dual Core Atom and the R2 Essentials Windows Storage Server 2008 operating system. WD Sentinel DX4000 is a centralized system of data storage with the general access and opportunities of automatic backup and recovery of information, capable to service up to 25 devices connected to network. Using the built-in equipment rooms and software tools of reservation, the server provides a comprehensive protection of data for all connected network devices. The Sentinel DX4000 servers can have the capacity 4 TB, 8 TB and 12 TB that allows owners to expand the disk space as their requirements grow. Besides, the server of data storage WD Sentinel DX4000 is capable to play a role of "own cloud storage" for small and medium business.

• RAID: Supports levels 1 and 5 for ensuring data protection and increase in speed of work.
• Daily backup: The software for automatic backup and data recovery allows to save daily complete backup copies for 25 network devices. Configure once do not worry about it any more.
• Reserve connection to network: two ports Gigabit Ethernet work in the mode of adaptive fault tolerance (Adaptive Fault Tolerance, AFT): if one of Ethernet ports fails, the server will automatically switch to another.
• Additional protection against accident: Additional software tools of data recovery after accident provide connection to a cloud service and allow to store your data far off.

WD Sentinel is compatible to different operating systems, including Windows XP, Windows Vista® and Windows 7. Besides, WD Sentinel supports Mac OS X® Leopard® and Snow Leopard® and allows to organize file sharing between the Windows, Mac and Unix/Linux operating systems.
