Was born in 1965 in Toguchinsky district of the Novosibirsk region. In 1990 graduated from natural and geographical faculty NGPI and remained to work as the teacher-trainee at department of anatomy, human physiology and animals.

In 1995 ahead of schedule finished a postgraduate study and successfully defended the dissertation for a degree of Candidate of Biology.

From November, 1995 to June, 2004 - the dean of EGF, and from June, 2004 to January, 2007 - the director of IESEN. In 2005 defended the doctoral dissertation, and in 2008 was entitled professor. From January, 2007 to May, 2008 worked as the first vice rector of NGPU, and since May, 2008 entered the rector's position.

Sphere of scientific interests: physiology of kidneys and water-salt exchange, ecological physiology. Author more than 80 scientific and scientific and methodical works.
