CORUS Consulting transferred standard document flow to the new version of the EMC Documentum 6.7 platform

CORUS Consulting Group transferred the standard solution of organizational and administrative and contractual document flow to the new version of the EMC Documentum platform. Significant increase in system performance became a translation result.

The department of CORUS Consulting Group which is responsible for development and implementation of electronic document management systems (EDMS), completed migration of own solution intended for automation of work with organizational and administrative and contractual documents on the version of the EMC Documentum 6.7 platform.

EMC Documentum 6.7 has several advantages before the previous versions of the platform: performance, scalability, security, interoperability and openness of the platform to interaction with other systems are improved.

Within migration of a system on the new version of the platform deep refactoring of the code was made that will allow to lower significantly requirements to the hardware at system implementation in the companies with a large number of users and large volume of document flow. Besides, thanks to refactoring process of change and adding of new forms and document types considerably will become simpler.

Along with migration of a system works on redesign of the interface decisions were passed. "We carried out systems analysis of completions of the standard solution EDMS which was implemented in the different large distributed companies earlier, - Alexey Leontyev, the manager of projects of the direction of electronic document management systems of CORUS Consulting Group explains. - First of all, these completions concerned the user interface: conveniences of work of users, the number of "clicks" at accomplishment of the most frequent transactions, rational distribution of a working space of the user during the work in EDMS. So, for example, the window of a preview of the text of the document which allows to perform basic operations with the document was implemented, without coming into its card. It allowed to reduce considerably operating time of key users in a system".

The standard solution of an electronic document management system developed by CORUS Consulting Group on the EMC Documentum platform is used in such organizations as macroregional branches of JSC "Rostelecom" "Centre", "Ural", "Volga", "Yug", JSC Bashinformsvyaz, Synterra Ltd, the government of Sverdlovsk region, SUE VTsKP, JSC OGK-2, JSC TGC-14, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Azerbaijan Republic, is implemented on Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant.
