The Federal Passenger Company carries out upgrade of the situational center

The Optima group by request of JSC Federal Passenger Company (FPC) (child structure of JSC "Russian Railways"), carried out upgrade of the Situational Center FPC.

STs FPC functions on the basis of the updated software and has no direct analogs in Eastern Europe on functionality and scale of a scope. The Optima group acted as the general contractor and the developer of ideology of the project.

Solution

The situational center works on the equipment BARCO and displays in real time all information on train service. Managers of the Center own complete data about quantity and a current status of structures and cars, exact number of passengers and the sold tickets. Thanks to integration into GLONASS system queried data are output to the videowall and the automated jobs. In case of an emergency situation the manager will instantly contact the chief of the train.

Opinion

"The center gave us more effective instrument of control, - the head of department of the organization of transportations of JSC FPC Vladimir Kalyapin told. - If earlier collecting of the complete information on the arisen problem, whether it be even accident or a descent of the rolling stock, made 3-4 hours, then now it was reduced to 10-15 minutes. It allows to make much quicker the decision on elimination of a problem and it is essential to increase safety of transportations. It completely corresponds to the Mission of FPC – to improve quality of life of people, doing a trip safe, available and comfortable. By the way, in the summer we are going to transport in large quantities in recreation camps more than 500,000 children. Strict dispatching control of these transportations is provided".

"Start of this Center is the first step on the way of creation of a global network of the railway situational centers in Russia, - the Deputy Commercial director of Optima Integration (Optima Group) Ruslan Kiorsak noted. – Further it is going to create 15 regional STs, each of which will provide more detailed information on train service in a zone of the responsibility. Also the Optima Group prepares Incident, the providing high quality of the solution of problem situations and complete elimination of their effects for software implementation".
