2018: License revocation due to outflow of 50% of legal entities' funds

In November 2018, the Bank of Russia revoked the banking license  from the commercial bank Russian Mortgage Bank. This was reported in the press service of the regulator.

In November 2018 , due to the outflow of a significant part of the client base (about 50% of the funds of legal entities), there was a sharp deterioration in the financial condition of the Russian Mortgage Bank CB (LLC) due to an acute liquidity deficit. For this reason, the bank was unable to fulfill its obligations to customers in a timely manner. Thus, in the activities of the credit institution, a basis arose for the implementation of measures to prevent insolvency (bankruptcy), which indicated that there was a real threat to the interests of its depositors and creditors.

The Bank of Russia has repeatedly (3 times in the last 12 months) applied  supervisory measures against KB Russian Mortgage Bank (LLC) , including twice imposing restrictions on attracting funds from individuals.

2009: Move from mortgage to universal bank

Until 2009, the bank's main activity was mortgage housing lending (according to the results of 2008, CB Russian Mortgage Bank (LLC) was one of the Russian banks leading in the field of mortgage lending).

Since 2009, the bank has adopted a new development concept, the main strategic goal of which was to create a universal multidisciplinary financial institution of federal significance that meets national and world standards.

1992: Founding of the Bank

CB "Russian Mortgage Bank" (LLC) was founded in 1992.
