The complex automation of group of the transport and logistic companies assuming implementation of 32 interconnected projects is expected four years and will be based on the specialized ERP solution on the OEBS platform.
The transport Fesco group, the largest Russian container operator, starts creation of a uniform corporate information system on the Oracle E-Business Suite platform. Within the project one of the Russia's first implementing solution Oracle Transportation Management, development of the G-Log company purchased by Oracle in 2005 will be performed.
The companies of the Fesco group render to clients a full range of delivery services of loads "from a door to a door", including marine, railway and motor transport, including necessary processing of loads. The group possesses own fleet with the general displacement more than 1 million tons, and manages the diversified park of the rolling stock numbering over 17,000 units.
A new system will have to cover all business divisions of group: linearly - logistic, sea, railway and port. It is supposed that the ERP system will support management of all key business processes, such as strategic planning, budgeting, management of finance, personnel, deliveries, repairs, projects.
According to the program manager, the board member of the transport Fesco group, the vice president for legal issues Vladimir Lelyukh, implementation of a corporate system provides accomplishment of 32 interconnected projects. The program is expected four years and separated into three consecutive releases. The first release of the program will cover intermodal container transportations along the Trans-Siberian corridor and control block by personnel. This stage is going to be completed by the end of 2009. In the created system several thousands of employees of group will have to work.
