Today the WD company announced in July, 2012 an exit of the latest version of popular mobile application of WD 2go which combines new features of sharing and file management with access to an online service of Dropbox. The program is intended for work with such personal cloud systems as My Book Live, My Book Live Duo and the My Net N900 Central HD router with the built-in hard drive which allow to create the centralized storage for important documents, photos, video and audio and to organize automatic backup for all computers in a home network. WD 2go provides a possibility of remote access and sharing of this content using mobile devices.

In its new version advantages of the personal and public cloud storage are integrated. Now with its help users will be able freely to move, copy and distribute data between mobile terminals, the Dropbox the account and the network drives WD. For example, the utility will allow to share at any time several photos with friends, having just copied them from the personal cloud storage in Dropbox. However, if the total amount of images or files is too big for this online service, it is possible to use the program to email the safe link to these data. WD 2go is offered in versions for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and devices running Android OS.
