The French house of Gerard Darel passed to the updated technology of backup of resources of virtual infrastructure

The French fashion house and the international network of retail salons of a women's clothing and products from skin of Gerard Darel used the solution Acronis vmProtect 7 for protection of virtual IT infrastructure.

Goal

Due to the international expansion of the company the IT infrastructure everywhere giving an information access at the main office for the staff of Gerard Darell worldwide, implementing reliable data protection both from human errors, and from natural disasters was necessary.

Under the leadership of the technical director of Gerard Darel Samuel Schemuni within four years the company uses virtual solutions of VMware. During operating time Samuel Schemuni managed to optimize costs for IT infrastructure and to considerably increase efficiency of its work, but at the same time costs for backup of virtual servers and workstations were too high.

After intensive testing of a number of solutions Samuel Schemuni selected Acronis vmProtect.

Opinion

"During tests of trial version we found out that backup using Acronis required only several clicks for installation and no more than 5 minutes for completion of process of backup. And we did not even need to train personnel or to connect with support of Acronis in the course of setup and operation of the software. In comparison with the competing solutions, Acronis vmProtect was the simplest in use, the fastest in the course of recovery and in general the most effective for us the solution" — Samuel Schemuni noted.

Result

Now vmProtect 7 protects more than 300 virtual workstations and more than 100 virtual servers of the French company. The solution improves the directive term of recovery and directive recovery time at decrease in total cost of ownership.
