The management system for engineering data is implemented at the Salavatneftemash enterprise

JSC Salavatneftemash put a management system for engineering data and product lifecycle of LOTSMAN:PLM into commercial operation. System implementation with development of add-on modules and creation of the electronic directory of standard products was executed by ASCON-Ufa company.

Solution

With the help of LOTSMAN:PLM in department of the chief designer of JSC Salavatneftemash classical tasks of management of engineering data are solved: the uniform electronic storage of design documentation is created, development of design structures of products and obtaining specialized reports is automated.

On the basis of structure of products in LOTSMAN:PLM the specification and sheets of purchased products form in a report type automatically and in short terms. All design documentation on new products is in electronic storage and always has the relevant status thanks to the system of distribution of access rights.

For the purpose of acceleration of production of new products in department of the chief designer the electronic directory of standard products is organized and specialized modules to LOTSMAN:PLM are developed:

• the module of input of design structure automatically traces and appropriates designations DSE depending on the selected type;
• the module of creation and search of standard products allows to create the directory of standard products practically in one action: it is enough to select head assembly unit from LOTSMAN:PLM, to enter the description and to fill fields with characteristics. Further this product can all designers of department will apply with the structure in other developments;
• the module of readiness of a product helps the designer to be convinced of completeness of his development. At start it automatically executes scanning of all structure of a product in different rules, in case of error trapping and notes they are displayed in a special window.

Before transition to LOTSMAN:PLM at the enterprise own storage system of design structures of products functioned. During the project access to the previous design developments due to implementation of the specialized module of import is provided.
