Beltel upgraded a communication network of the Northwest Air Navigation enterprise

The Beltel system integrator built IP-telefonii network based on the equipment Avaya for branch of "Northwest Air navigation" of Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Corporation on Air Traffic Management.

Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Corporation on Air Traffic Management will organize Northwest Air Navigation branch and services air traffic over the Leningrad, Pskov, Novgorod, Vologda, Murmansk, Kaliningrad regions, the Republic of Karelia, the Arkhangelsk region, a part of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area and also over water areas of the Baltic, Barents, Karsky seas and the Arctic Ocean. Manpower ceiling of branch makes 2390 people.

For the purpose of ensuring the most effective work of strategically important object as the management of the enterprise the decision to upgrade outdated telecommunication network at office of directorate in St. Petersburg and also in the centers of Department of Internal Affairs located in Petrozavodsk and Arkhangelsk was made. Creation of the reliable and functional communication network meeting requirements of the enterprise was the main requirement.

As technical base solutions of Avaya company were selected. The Beltel company acted as the system integrator of the project.

Core of new network is UPATS AVAYA CM S8300 R6.0. At office of directorate in St. Petersburg the media gateway of G430 and the associated equipment for network functioning is set. On platforms in Petrozavodsk and Arkhangelsk media gateways of G430 which are connected to a central station on IP channels are used and are included in a unified corporate numerical plan. In case of unavailability of the IP channel media gateways pass into a local operation mode with a contact to the PSTN via city channels.

As a result of project implementation in Northwest Air Navigation branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Corporation on Air Traffic Management the reliable and modern communication network allowing to provide effective interaction between employees and to cut down expenses on a domestic long distance communication was built.
