JSC "Russian Railways" upgrades the solution of automation of drawing up managerial documents

The company "IntelLex" released the new version OLAP- systems "Bank of indicators of work of passenger economy" and carried out its implementation to business processes RUSSIAN RAILWAY.

Result

Implementation of Bank of indicators allowed to reduce time of drawing up managerial documents in tens of times, reported in IntelLex.

Objectives

From the moment of implementation in the Russian Railway in 2002 system architecture and the used technologies practically did not undergo changes. And though Bank of indicators continues to cope with tasks, it is obvious - the modern technologies of the organization of databases and development of user interfaces (including use of web interfaces) complemented with own innovative ideas are capable to bring a system to qualitatively new level.

Opinion

"We expect approximately 10-fold reduction of time for report generation, increase in accuracy of results and flexibility in creation of new forms of the reporting and analytical calculations" — the head of department of information analytical applications of IntelLex Leonid Maksimenko shared forecasts.

The new release of Bank of indicators was developed by specialists of IntelLex within the last two years. System testing on the continuous real data of work of passenger economy is at the moment conducted.

Details

According to the company, before migration on a new core increase in number of the created managerial reports and their components accumulated in a system was the main trend of evolution of Bank of indicators. For example, during creation of consolidated budgets of FPC a system collects 35 different report forms, containing over Z thousand different indicators. IntelLex determined length of lifecycle of similar solutions in 5–6 years, having noted a possibility of flexible reorganization of Bank of indicators under business needs that allowed it not to become outdated morally for 10 years.
