In Svyaznoy the budgeting system based on IBM Cognos TM1 is optimized

The Navicon company announced in the summer of 2012 end of the main stage of the project of automation in Svyaznoy Group. Specialists of the company together with employees of the customer optimized the budgeting system created based on IBM Cognos TM1.

Optimization and preparation of model for budget process of 2012 which included was a main objective of the project:

• setup of business rules in all cubes with preserving of the approved methodology and regulations of budgeting of the customer;
• setup of jobs of users of a system with distribution of access rights according to powers.

All functional units of budget model entered a framework of the project: sales and goods turnover, development of network, lease and maintenance of premises, FOT, consolidation of PL and final budget forms.

As a result of project implementation the volume of budget model was succeeded to reduce more than by 200 times: the optimized its option occupies in RAM 800 MB (instead of 180 GB), and the complete consolidated budget of the company is recalculated in several minutes instead of 9 days.
