History

2015: "The Kremlin of media" is ready to redeem Muz TV

On August 10, 2015 it became known that to YuTV teleholding the offer from "The Kremlin of media" arrived to sell the cable channel "Muz-TV" belonging to it for $20 million, Vedomosti with reference to unnamed sources reports.

According to the newspaper, the holding is ready to purchase TV channel together with debts of "MUZ TV" who owed 500 million rubles for presence at the second multiplex and about 1 billion rubles to cable operators.

Kreml media LLC is the production company founded in 2013 by Sergey Bunin in 2015 heading Federal State Unitary Enterprise Goskontsert and Ekaterina Bunina, the current CEO of this Ltd company.

Purchase of Muz TV was discussed with Vladimir Kiselyov – the producer of VIA "People of Earth" and the founder of Federation fund, spoke to Vedomosti of people, close to YuTV. Holding expected from it official proposal about purchase of Muz TV. The TV channel had to enter into so-called patriotic media holding which is created now by Kiselyov.

In October, 2014 Kiselyov and the chairman of the board of directors of Russian Media Group (RMG) Olga Plaksina suggested the president Vladimir Putin to create patriotic media holding. This project should provide a creative and musical resource for the ideological tasks facing the country leaders in work with electorate it was told in the letter. Authors of the letter consider that Russia needs own actors – "ideologically correctly configured idols of millions".
