In 1987-88 worked as the laboratory assistant of department of general history of Gorky state teacher training college of M. Gorky.
In 1988-89 served in armed forces of the USSR.
In 1991-92 — the laboratory assistant of department of history of the USSR of the Gorky Teacher Training College (GTTC). In 1992-95 — the senior laboratory assistant of department of history of Russia of GPI.
In 1995 graduated from department of history of N.I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod as "a historian, a teacher of social science", came to a postgraduate study of the Nizhny Novgorod state pedagogical university.
In 1996-98 worked as the assistant, then the senior teacher of department of history of Russia to NGPU (in combination).
In 1998 defended the dissertation for a degree of the candidate of philosophical sciences (a subject of a dissertation research: "The concept of philosophical anthropology in works of the Russian masons of the last third of the 18th century ("a novikovsky circle").
From 1998 to 2000 worked as the senior teacher of department of philosophy of NGPU.
In 2000–2003 — the associate professor of the same department (the academic status of the associate professor on department of philosophy is given in 2001).
In 2003 defended the dissertation for a degree of the Doctor of Philosophy (a research subject: "Evolution of the European mystical tradition and its influence on the Russian philosophical thought (the last third of XVIII — the first third of the 19th centuries)".
From 2003 to 2004 — the deputy dean, the head of philosophical department of NGPU.
From 2004 to 2007 — the dean of philosophical and theological faculty NGPU, professor of department of philosophy (the academic status of professor of department of philosophy is given in 2007).
From 2007 to 2009 — the vice rector for scientific work of NGPU, professor of department of philosophy.
From June, 2009 to October, 2011 fulfilled duties of the rector of the Volga state engineering and pedagogical university.
After consolidation VGIPU about NGPU (October, 2011) the acting first vice rector of NGPU worked.
In April, 2012 it is elected the rector of NGPU of K. Minin.
More than hundred scientific works, including monographs on stories of philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophical anthropology, philosophy of religion, monographs (in co-authorship) on management of education are the author. The author of 10 publications in the European and American magazines on humanitarian subject. Under the scientific guide of A.A. Fedorov 7 master's theses were defended and 8 scientific projects within grant programs are executed.
In 2007 and 2010 received certificates of honor of the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in 2011 — the letter of acknowledgement of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in 2009 — the honourable diploma of the Federal chancellor of Germany, in 2008 — the certificate of honor of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, and some other public awards. Since 2010 the winner of the federal project "Talent Pool — the Professional Command of the Country"". The corresponding member of Academy of humanitarian researches at the Munster university.
