"Interstate hardware Mtsensk" implements the SAP solution for integration into global business of the parent company

The NORBIT company won tender for a project sales right on SAP ERP system implementation in JSC Mezhgosmetiz-Mtsensk.

Objectives

The main information system used in JSC Mezhgosmetiz-Mtsensk - 1C including functionality of sale, production, purchases, inventory managements, accounting and management accounting, quality management and also personnel management.

The decision to pass to SAP is made within uniform corporate strategy on standardization of IT platforms. Now the SAP ERP system is implemented and is used by all key production sites and subsidiary companies entering Lincoln Electric excepting the Russian part. Thus, project implementation will allow to integrate the Russian branch into global business of the company due to use of the general processes and a common information space.

Project Plans

Within the project of NORBIT will execute a full stroke of replication of global solution, including inspection of business processes, requirements gathering, identification of deviations and adaptation of the global conceptual project, setup and system development regarding an organization structure, the Russian specifics and additional requirements of the customer. Besides, at a final stage testing, key user training will be provided, start in productive operation is performed and also support of start of commercial operation is given.

The NORBIT should localize global solution of Lincoln Electric company for the Russian branch. At the same time in connection with considerable differences of the Russian legislation from legislations of the other countries where the corporation works, regarding accounting and tax accounting from specialists of the company development of the unique solution actually is required.

Project completion and start of a system in operation are planned for the beginning of 2013.

Dmitry Nikulin, the Head of Department of SAP emphasized NORBIT companies: "The major project deliverable will become the fact that it will allow to integrate JSC Mezhgosmetiz-Mtsensk into Lincoln Electric due to unification of processes, basic data and also increase in controllability of the Russian business thanks to the relevance and accuracy of the information necessary for decision making. At the same time the implementable system of JSC Mezhgosmetiz-Mtsensk will be a part of the uniform Lincoln Electric SAP system servicing all corporation and territorially being in the USA. In a system not less than 80 Russian users in the following directions will be able to work: purchases, sales, warehouse, production, quality management, managerial, accounting, tax accounting".

Raphael Muntada, the director of ICT in the countries of Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa noted Lincoln Electric companies: "The project is a part of the global IT strategy of Lincoln Electric providing transition to SAP as the general and uniform ERP system around the world. Implementation in Russia is one of completing, but at the same time difficult and important steps to implementations of this strategy".
