After graduation, he was hired by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a consulting and audit services company.

1993: Russian representative office

Since 1993, he continued to work in the Russian representative office of PwC.

1995: CSFB Managing Director

In 1995, he moved to Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). He worked as a managing director who oversaw the markets of Russia, Turkey and North Africa and the head of the Strategic Markets Group, developing the direction of debt and equity investments in emerging markets around the world.

2004: Managing Director Merrill Lynch
