Bashkir encyclopedia

The scientific publishing house "Bashkir Encyclopedia" is created according to the Decree of the President of RB No. UP-34 of January 16, 1995. Is a legal successor of the Main editorial office of Bashkir Encyclopedia of Academy of Sciences of RB created according to the Resolution of Council of Ministers of RB No. 14 of January 19, 1993 and the resolution of Presidium of Academy of Sciences of RB of February 4, 1993.

State budgetary institution RB scientific publishing house "Bashkir Encyclopedia" is the specialized agency performing preparation and the edition scientific, encyclopedic and dictionary reference books. In 2005-2012 the publishing house within the state order prepared seven volumes of multivolume Bashkir Encyclopedia for the edition.

In the nearest future the publishing house is going to develop electronic book publishing. The new direction will allow to create the electronic dictionaries and encyclopedias having a big range of search, interactive and multimedia opportunities.

Statistics

Since 1995 the Scientific publishing house "Bashkir Encyclopedia" issued about 50 names of printing editions with a general circulation more than 400 thousand copies (taking into account all reprintings). In 2005 CD ROM with electronic versions of the short encyclopedia 'Bashkortostan' in the Russian and Bashkir languages were published.
