Specialists of Columbus booked in BFA Bank audit of the used software of Microsoft on methodology of Software Asset Management (SAM). According to the results of audit the management of Bank received the recommendations of specialists of Columbus about elimination of the existing defects and reduction of IT infrastructure in compliance with requirements of business and also selected the new optimal scheme of licensing of program assets.

In the course of the analysis difficulties of comparison of installations and software licenses at the current scheme of licensing (acquisition) of shrink-wrapped software products of Microsoft came to light. The complexity is that each boxed license of Microsoft has unique key which should be compared with the installed software product. Change of the computer park provides change control of activation keys of program assets. In the presence of the park in 300 PCs the efficiency of carrying out such control in the manual mode by forces of IT personnel is extremely low. BFA bank made the decision to use the new scheme of licensing of software of Microsoft.

Now BFA Bank purchases new licenses of Microsoft only according to the program of lease Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS).
