Severgasavtomatica Ice Ltd and QTECH company completed the project on creation of city multiservice network of broadband access in Novy Urengoy.

Background

"Geographical and climatic features of Novy Urengoy impose additional requirements to the telecommunication equipment necessary for development of communication channels in the region, - Alexey Petrenko, the head of department of operation of Severgasavtomatica Ice network noted. - We made a choice for benefit of QTECH since this Russian company provides own high-quality developments in many respects the exceeding import analogs. High rates of fault tolerance, including at extreme temperatures of the Polar circle, the optimal prices, functionality, support of protocols of fast ring convergence and free technical support - all these parameters are the key to successful growth of our business".

Implementation

QTECH proposed for project implementation the complete solution on the basis of the access switches QSW-2800 and switches of aggregation QSW-8300. The solution, thanks to the high performance, 10 GB to the interface with support of digital television, will allow Severgasavtomatica Ice company to scale business and to deploy the new services, such as IP telephony, digital television, etc. At the moment total capacitance of connections of the operator - about 8 thousand subscribers. On the new platform the company is going to increase number of users up to 16 thousand.

Switches of aggregation of the 8300th series and 2800 of a series - a line of switches of an operator class. The equipment supports all relevant protocols used on Metro Ethernet networks. Switches are intended as for construction of regional city networks of broadband access, and for creation of local networks of the small enterprises. The QTECH switches are distinguished by the high level of reliability and a small payback period (about a year). The solutions proposed by QTECH can be easily integrated into the existing networks of operators of broadband access.

"We highly appreciate the trust put in us by colleagues from Severgasavtomatica Ice. For us it is very interesting project, especially taking into account extreme conditions of the Polar region, and good fail-safe test of our equipment, - Dmitry Litvinov, the technical director of QTECH told. - Being the Russian company, we make considerable efforts for development of information and communication technologies in our country and we pay considerable attention to requirements of our customers".
