Informat completed audit of a resource management system of the enterprise

CORUS Consulting Group began the project on automation of trade processes of FARM company and retail chain stores of "INFORMAT" on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 platform.

"FARM" is one of the largest suppliers of clerical products in Russia which makes under own brands "informat", "schoolformat", "Kalyaka-Malyaka". The company has network of 26 regional representative offices and manages more than 60 informat retail stores and www.informat.ru online store.

By own forces developed nearly 15 years of "FARM" and supported the information system "BEST", having achieved the maximum compliance to business processes of the company. Growth of number of operations and amount of the database was led to decline in production of a system and private failure in work. Besides, in each branch of network separate installation of a system with own database was unrolled that complicated centralized operation by network. Therefore the company needed a new single platform for automation of all growing business.

Having studied the market of the systems of the class ERP, the company management left the choice on the Microsoft platform which was capable to support growth of the company, had potential of flexible configuration and broad functionality of the solution and also strong support in localization and development of a system from vendor.

Management of FARM company saw the main objective of the project not only in upgrade of IT infrastructure, but also in significant business optimization in general. Therefore when choosing the partner in implementation, the great value was given to presence at it of deep industry expertize, experience of business process optimization. As a result of an open competition among the leading integrators Microsoft Dynamics AX a choice was made for benefit of CORUS Consulting Group.

CORUS Consulting Group offered the company the project on the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 which release by the time of the beginning of the project was not in Russia yet. But the integrator already worked on several projects on the new version of a system and was ready to its implementation in "FARM".

Implementation of industry solutions "KORUS|Retail" and "KORUS|Distribution" based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 will allow to automate trade processes at the central office, the distribution center and two branches "FARM" and also a back office of INFORMAT network, to create the systems of uniform treasury and the analytical reporting. Thanks to a new system the company will be able to manage supply chains, to create exact product cost by means of end-to-end accounting of all process steps of merchandising, to manage transport delivery. Further scaling of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is planned for all other branches of the company.

On April 3, 2015 the CORUS Consulting group announced carrying out audit of system performance of resource management of the enterprise in INFORMAT.

Project Tasks

For management of key processes of the enterprise, in INFORMAT the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is used. In process of business development and deployment of a system in branches, the volume of the processed data, the executed transactions increased in the company, the branch network extended, the number of users increased. The management of retail chain stores made the decision on carrying out audit of system performance. As the auditor the CORUS Consulting company which earlier executed implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is invited.

Project Results

During audit of performance of ERP booked by specialists of Corus Consulting in INFORMAT regulations of technical operation of a system are updated, updating of a kernel of the Dynamics AX 2012 R2 CU1 system, on the latest version of Dynamics AX 2012 R2 CU7 is offered and carried out, reconfiguration at the level of application servers is carried out.
