SUEK will implement expanded network software licenses of Autodesk

Customers: Siberian Coal Energy Company (SCEC)

Contractors: Autodesk
Product: AutoCAD
Second product: AutoCAD Civil 3D

Project date: 2012/09  - 2012/09

The Autodesk company, the developer of solutions for 3D - design, design and creation of virtual reality, and "Siberian Coal Energy Company" (SCEC) signed the all-corporate agreement on implementation of expanded network licenses (ETR) for use of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D in September, 2012. As expected, this cooperation will allow SUEK to optimize the investments into the software and will provide access to products of Autodesk to the bigger number of specialists, than usually.

SUEK is a large producer and the exporter of steam coal with network of affiliated enterprises across all Russia. Advantage of the expanded network license consists that now the purchased licenses are concentrated in one place, and the configured access to them is got by engineers of all branches connected to the agreement and child structures. It allows IT services irrespective of physical finding of the user on a centralized basis to control, manage and work with software of Autodesk that, in turn, promotes reduction of time and finance costs, explained in Autodesk. Besides, IT managers can quickly keep track of the status of licenses and also compare real use of software with the stated requirement.

The solution for design of infrastructure facilities of AutoCAD Civil 3D is already used, in particular, by surveying department "Berezovsky-1 Coal mine" in Krasnoyarsk Krai for increase in efficiency and forecasting of non-staff situations.

"From the beginning of use of expanded network licenses the centralized access to software will receive the bigger number of engineers and designers. According to the results of the first stage of implementation the analysis of real use of products will be carried out by our engineers and we will define plans for further development of the project" — Feoktistov Evgeny, the director of information technology, SUEK noted.
