Ukrtransgaz (Oracle SPARC T4)

Within dynamic development of the company the decision to optimize business processes and to centralize work of 17 structural divisions of Ukrtransgaz was made. Deployment of the ERP system which covered more than five thousand employees, demanded use of the new effective equipment optimized for accomplishment of the database management system of Oracle and having the best ratio the price/performance.

As the strategic consolidation platform for the level of databases and application servers the Sun SPARC Enterprise server M9000-64 of the class high-end which provided accomplishment of crucial tasks of Ukrtransgaz in mode 24×7x365 was selected. New infrastructure of the enterprise also includes universal high-end servers of Oracle SPARC T4-4 for the level of application servers running Solaris OS. Storage systems of Pillar Axiom 600 provide the level of use of capacity of DWH, best in the industry, without loss in performance that was crucial for this project. For archive information storage the modular library STORAGETEK SL500 was selected.
