The city administration of Orenburg equips city passenger transport with the system of satellite control

The company the Standard implements the joint project with city administration of Orenburg on creation of a city system of GLONASS monitoring and control of transport of Orenburg. On September 18, 2012 it became known of end of the first stage of this project. In the project the implementing solution Avtotreker is conducted.

Solution

Within implementation of the first stage of the project on 800 units of passenger transport the industry solution on monitoring of Avtotreker-Passazhiroperevozki passenger transport which part on-board navigation and telemetric units based on GLONASS and a specialized software are is set.

City administration together with the company contractor created the Central municipal transport dispatching service of city administration of Orenburg providing control over passenger traffic of the city. Thanks to implementation Avtotreker becomes possible:

• planning of passenger traffic, drawing up schedules and route schedules;

• purpose of vehicles and linear personnel to routes of transportations;

• operating control of release of vehicles to the line;

• control of observance by schedule vehicles, operational replacement of the left vehicles;

• the automated calculation of necessary changes of the route schedule at breakdowns of vehicles and changes of road conditions, operational making changes in the route schedule with automatic information transfer on the onboard terminal of the driver;

• operative communication with drivers of vehicles;

• preparation of analytical reports on execution of transportations by a separate route, the enterprise – carrier and city route network in general;

• the analysis of operational indicators of implementation of transportations on the municipal motor transportation enterprises.

"Today's transport situation pushes municipal authorities to use of navigation systems of monitoring and control of transport: the intensity of the movement and load of a road network grows, also quality requirements of work of public transport raise from residents" — Sergey Nikolaev told, the deputy head of administration of the city of Orenburg — "Requirements of the legislation on obligatory equipment of passenger transport GLONASS receivers helps to make the decision on start of the corresponding project. But it is even more important that the city authorities well thought over the requirements, reasonably planned specific purposes of the project and a way of its further development, correctly selected a technology platform of the created solution. There passed time when display on the card of the manager of marks of vehicles was top of technologies, from the modern systems use of analytical approaches and mechanisms of modeling of transport processes in real time is required. Having passed a hard way of selection of a complex of control of transport, we selected the Avtotreker system and were not disappointed. The project is implemented in the normal mode, the goals of the first stage are achieved. Our city received an effective planning tool, the organizations, operational management and control of passenger traffic that allowed us to improve considerably quality transport service of the population and to raise the overall level of safety of transportations".
