VNTTs Uralzheldoravtomatization Ltd (Advanta)

The Advanta Group company completed an implementation project of the Advanta system in the leading research enterprise of Russian Railways - VNTTs Uralzheldoravtomatization Ltd.

Creation of a project management system of construction and new product development - the new microelectronic devices and the systems of railway automatic equipment which are responsible for traffic safety of trains was a project objective.

At the first stage of the project chiefs of departments and directors jointly with specialists of Advanta Group company developed schemes of business processes of the enterprise. The main and auxiliary processes of management of projects were as a result defined and also the main requirements to an automated system of government of projects (ASUP) are formulated.

On the basis of collected requirements specialists of Advanta Group designed the first option of the ASUP configuration. In particular it was decided to transfer to ASUP the order form of the equipment for own and production needs of the enterprise and also the reference book for accounting of the developed software for deliverable modules.

At the second stage of the project user training to technology of work in ASUP was provided. Training took place according to the individual program. In learning process the complete register of projects of the organization was entered to ASUP, the base was filled with documents on design and software development, the current problematic issues.

According to Vyacheslav Novoselov, the project manager from Advanta Group, "the fact that users independently showed interest in ASUP and began work in a system even before the end of training served as great advantage. By the time of completion of training most of users, without waiting for the moment of official start of ASUP, already started its trial operation".

Feature of this project was the fact that before acquisition of the software of "A2" the management of the enterprise ordered service in creation of the working model of a project management system in Advanta Group company.

After passing of trial operation the project management system was put into commercial operation. The implementation scope on a pilot project made 25 jobs.
