VTB uses at the heart of the solution of the analysis of monitoring of banking activities of the message of the SWIFT system

The BI Partner company announced on September 20, 2012 end in the VTB Bank together with subsidiary companies forming VTB financial group, the project on development of the system of the analysis and monitoring of banking activities on the basis of SWIFT messages.

Task

The tool which would allow to trace and analyze transactions in Group was required for the customer and also to collect all information on opening of accounts and cash flow on accounts of correspondent banks.

The branched organization structure, geographically-distributed structure and use by banks of Group of different information systems complicated the organization of collecting and consolidation of information from the core banking system of all FG VTB banks. The SWIFT service which is routing messages with information on all transactions and became uniform data source came to the rescue. The general reference book of currency rates allows to lead to one transaction currency, performed in more than 20 countries where the VTB Group is provided.

Solution

Within the project specialists of BI Partner company design information show-window, procedures of transformation and data loading, a BI subsystem and a subsystem of maintaining NSI, including the reference book of accounts, transaction types, names and attributes of banks. As the platform Oracle 11.2EE DBMS, the environment of rapid development of web applications Oracle ApEx 4.1 and IBM DataStage 7.5 were used. The business intelligence subsystem in addition to a set of analytical reports includes also interactive dashboards providing to analysts and managers it is more than opportunities for operational information analysis.
