The administration of Primorsky Krai begins an implementation project of Electronic Diary service for educational institutions of the region

The LANITH DV company announced on September 21, 2012 receiving the rights based on a competition for the project "The electronic diary" in Primorsky Krai.

Objectives

The electronic diary is in many respects similar to normal, it is only possible to watch it from any place in the world in which there is an Internet. To get on the website, individual passwords are issued to project participants. It is supposed that over time this resource will integrate in itself the whole network of comprehensive and specialized schools of different corners of the Russian Federation. However already now it is possible to say that the real first step is taken in automation of school education in Primorsky Krai.

Dmitry Hermann, the CEO of LANITH DV Ltd said: "In educational institutions introduction of an electronic system of accounting of knowledge will allow to create uniform information and education space between school students, their parents, teachers and administration of school and the city. So, teachers will have one more method of communication with parents, it is necessary to tell, more reliable, than earlier. This system will also help busy parents: they will be able to control remotely, via the Internet, by him, besides, to learn progress of the child and accomplishment of homeworks about a PTA meeting in time. If desired they can obtain this information by means of the SMS. The benefit from an innovation is also for pupils. For example, having visited the website, they will be able quickly to find the class timetable and homeworks".

In the long term the Electronic Diary service from estimates, control of attendance, homeworks and communication will develop to the full-fledged information and education environment. It is going to develop the systems of motivation of the pupil by means of IT (fixation of achievements of the pupil, identification of positive trends of its development), to create storage of electronic educational materials, to develop designers on creation of electronic rates for resident and distance learning, additional reporting systems for regulatory authorities. Service will be integrated with all external information systems".

About the Product

The Electronic School Diaries service began to function since 2011 and was provided to schools on an equal basis with the similar systems. Today this system is actively used by 435 educational institutions of Primorsky Krai, in a system 5758 teachers, 93751 pupils and 71993 parents are registered.

Piotr Bauer, the director of the department of business development and sales of LANITH DV Ltd noted: "In 2009 the governor defined the main criteria of development of electronic services. All automation systems should be localized in the territory of Primorsky Krai. All information should be stored in data processing centers of the region and meet all safety requirements. It, in turn, will allow to develop information technologies in Primorye and also will reduce the volume of external traffic which in our region, unfortunately, is still expensive and has no sufficient data transfer rate".

Prospects

"Further development of this project is planned, - Piotr Bauer emphasized. - So, the digital library will be created, and by integration with the websites of universities of Primorsky Krai the module "Additional education" will gain the development. In the project data for preparation for examinations – the module "USE and SFE 9" will also be concentrated. We will try to find room into this system in full for information on the organization of rest and health of children".
