Roszheldorproyekt in partnership with Autodesk is developed by instruments of design of the Russian railway infrastructure

The Autodesk company and JSC Roszheldorproyekt announced on October 4, 2012 end of the first stage of the joint project contributing to the development of instruments of design of the Russian railway infrastructure. The project on the AutoCAD Civil 3D setup for specific requirements of the Russian railway industry will allow to optimize development and repair of railway lines using technology of information modeling of buildings and infrastructure facilities (BIM).

Tasks

Software products for design and information modeling of objects of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit are the main tools which divisions of JSC Roszheldorproyekt use in the project activity. The companies cooperate during the long time frame. Besides, JSC Roszheldorproyekt is among the largest Russian users of Autodesk.

Specialists of JSC Roszheldorproyekt used the practices for the purpose of their further full integration in software products of Autodesk. In addition to the opportunities put in the software package by developers, experts of JSC Roszheldorproyekt adapted AutoCAD Civil 3D to specifics of railway design in Russia and brought it into accord with GOST P 21.1702-96 "Rules of accomplishment of the work documentation of railway tracks". Calculation of the eminence of an outside rail according to the standards adopted in Russia became one of the main features which had to be considered during the work.

Implementation

The project is implemented within the affiliate program of Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) in a short time — from November, 2011 to April, 2012. Thanks to ADN, partners and users get access to technical resources and support of specialists of Autodesk, actively interact with leading experts in the software development area based on technologies of the company.
