The information and analytical center upgrades the GIS TORIS ST. PETERSBURG

By request of St. Petersburg information and analytical center closed joint stock company NEOLANT carried out implementation of functions of preparation in electronic form of documents for execution of warrants for production of earth construction and repair work to the Geographic information system of the Territorial Industry Regional Information System of St. Petersburg.

Solution

Within the project on development of the Geographic information system of the Territorial Industry Regional Information System (GIS TORIS), the custom-made Information and analytical center of St. Petersburg, specialists of NEOLANT company implemented additional functions in GIS TORIS. They are intended for automation of process of coding / decoding of information necessary for execution of orders. An opportunity to create a graphic part of the project documentation (to apply layout charts of objects on a cartographic basis) directly in a geographic information system is implemented. Further this information is coded and unloaded in the file which is transferred in GATI complete with other documentation. In GATI the arrived file is loaded into GIS, and the employee of inspection receives the scheme prepared by the designer on a legitimate cartographic basis. GIS TORIS works also with documentation arriving from an external CAD if during its creation M-64 coordinate system was used.

Result

Use of GIS TORIS with functions of coding/decoding of information eliminates need of transfer of the project documentation in paper form and reduces time of rendering state service.
