The RBC Group company announced in the fall of 2012 the successful termination of the first stage of creation of the complex information management system in Leader Snack company - one of the largest producers and distributors of products of the snack direction in Ukraine.

Considering the increasing competition in the market of snacks and fast snack, the Leader Snack company selected the new strategy of behavior in the market. It is based on quality improvement of management in the company, cost optimization, acceleration of processes of acceptance of management decisions, improvement of product quality for gain of key competitive advantages. It is impossible to execute conceived without implementation of modern information technologies. The main partner in creation of the complex information management system selected RBC Group company. Within the project the staff of RBC Group conducted examination of business of the Customer, refining of a framework of the project, formation of a summary project team (entered it both the staff of RBC Group, and key staff of the Customer), preparation of project office, templates and storage of project documents.

Implementation [1] QlikView, training of staff of Leader Snack in development tools and administrations of QlikView became the following of steps to project implementations. Then development and deployment of the analytical application according to the analysis of primary and secondary sales followed. Implementation of this stage allowed to structure and consolidate data on primary and secondary sales in the uniform analytical application that gave the chance to the Customer quickly to receive any analytics.

Earlier data on sales of "Leader Snack" were considered in the different systems (1C, SalesWork, PraData, the MS Excel, Nielsen), the system of a business intelligence QlikView allowed to systematize and consolidate data from the different systems.

Also as additional result, employees of the Customer independently develop the application according to the analysis of use of a retail store equipment in all network of sales of the Customer. This fact demonstrates quality of the provided training of employees of the Customer and about readiness of personnel of the company further independently to develop the QlikView BI system for the purposes of receiving analytics within any business processes at the enterprise.

During the stage "Development of Methodology of Managerial Accounting", processes of formation of the management reporting and its forms were formalized. The managerial chart of accounts, techniques of collecting and data processing, "Provision on account policy of managerial accounting" and methodology of automation of managerial accounting at the enterprise was created. When developing methodology of budgeting the financial structure of the enterprise and process of budgeting was formalized, forms of operating and financial budgets, techniques of their formation, regulations of budgeting, "Provision about Budget committee" and "Provision on a budgeting system" are developed, the budgeting model, is developed for further implementation in information systems of the Customer.

Also "Provision on a regulation of business processes" in which rules, standards, forms, graphic notations and other components connected with development, the description, implementation and maintenance of business processes are described was formalized. Accomplishment of all assigned tasks directly depended on active participation of key staff of a project team of the Customer who showed high professionalism and interest in successful project implementation.

Further stages of project implementation of creation of the complex information management system in Leader Snack company assume implementation of the following tasks:

  • development of model and formalization of the main business processes;
  • implementation of the "management of manufacturing enterprise" configuration of ISU "1C: Enterprise" on the basis of the developed business processes;
  • full-scale system deployment of the business analysis with the purpose of receiving an end-to-end system of analytics on all business processes.
