The VimpelCom company implements new services and implements the service platform from Oracle

Expanding a range of services to subscribers, the telecom operator VimpelCom implemented the new service Oracle Communications Converged Application Server platform.

The service Black list became the first service provided on the new platform. She allows mobile subscribers to permit or prohibit incoming calls from the selected numbers. The platform quite expensive is not announced project cost, however, according to experts of IT market.

"The cost of all project can be several million dollars therefore VimpelCom, most likely, "beat out" considerable discounts. The supplier (Oracle) could agree to it as in the project the image component is strong", – the representative of one of the largest Russian IT integrators said.

According to the director of the analytical agency Telecom Daily Denis Kuskov, the project quite large-scale could also cost more than 100 million rubles. "Implementation difficult could also take a lot of time, – Denis Kuskov told. – As for the platform, it is one of the most popular solutions of similar level. Similar products are both at SAP, and at Microsoft so to select was from what".
