Intellectual intersection

Product
Developers: Optima Services
Date of the premiere of the system: October, 2012
Branches: Transport

The Optima group announced in the fall of 2012 an output to the market of new development "The intellectual intersection" — the automated complex of management of traffic light objects at city intersections which solves one of key problems of the transport industry — congestion of highways. The product is developed by specialists of Optima Transport — structural division of the Optima group which specializes in complete solutions on automation and scheduling of objects of the transport and telecommunication industries.

According to the experts, implementation of the latest automated control systems for traffic (ACST) will allow to reduce traffic congestion by 30-40%. Their feature is that they manage operation of traffic lights not on in advance put algorithms and schemes, and adapting to the specific situation on the road monitored by sensors at each intersection explained in Optima. First of all, similar solutions are of interest to million-plus cities and submillionnik. So where because of undeveloped and unreasoned infrastructure transport problems already began, but they are still quite solvable in the intellectual way.

At the same time, according to Optima, the Intellectual Intersection complex Optima Transport considers requirements and specifics of transport infrastructure of localities, different on scale, as in its basis three levels of solution are put: automation of one intersection in the place of greatest "jams" (for example, in the town with the federal highway"); automation of group of intersections that allows to make complete solutions on the basis of data from all detectors and to select optimal operation algorithms of traffic lights; automation and management of all intersections of the city from the uniform dispatching center.

"The main advantage of work with our complex is that it contains a big set of working algorithms and it allows to reach the maximum effect on each section of a transport network — the chief executive of Optima Transport Alexander Chibizov emphasized. — At the same time the solution is easily integrated with elements of different producers that simplifies development of the existing system. Practice shows that similar projects pay off for the period from 2 to 4 years, reducing economic losses from congestion of highways by 2-3 times".
