Content

The Russian Navigation Technologies company equipped with the GLONASS/GPS system of monitoring of Avtotreker transport the most part of corporate vehicle fleet of "The interregional distribution grid company of Siberia" ("IDGC of Siberia"), the company integrator in the blog reported on October 16, 2012.

Tender

Along with "RNT" ten more companies specializing in the field of transport telematics participated in an open competition, but a choice is made for benefit of "RNT".

Solution

The project is implemented in several stages: test installations and main implementation. At the first stage the monitoring system of Avtotreker transport equips 300 cars "IDGC of Siberia". Generally a system worked reliably.

Now vehicle fleets of eight branches and one representative office "IDGC of Siberia" are equipped: over 1.7 thousand cars. These are passenger and the trucks leaving on major accidents for repair of transmission lines, the special equipment: truck cranes, tractors, autoautomatic hydraulic jacks, etc.

The onboard block and the "disturbing" button were installed on all cars, over 400 machines are equipped with fuel flow sensors.

Outputs

Use of the Avtotreker system increased safety of movement of cars. Managers have an opportunity to react quickly to emergency situations. Earlier in case of a natural disaster which led to accident on power supply networks search of the car could take about three-four hours. It is explained by wide spacing of an electric grid and impossibility to define exact provision of the separate machine.

As a result of project implementation economy of fuel consumption on cars makes 11-15%, on cargo — about 11.5%, at operation of the special equipment economy of fuel and lubricants — from 0 to 28%.

"Our corporate vehicle fleet has several thousands of cars. In the nearest future we are going everything them to equip with the system of satellite monitoring, and having expanded its functionality. We want to supply the special equipment on control to understand, for example, boring and crane installation or the autoautomatic hydraulic jack what is the time works" — Oleg Skripko, the head of department of transport service of JSC IDGC of Siberia told.
