The ANT-Inform company joins in a cloud service and saves on deployment

The LanKey company organized work of a cloud service of the joint communications based on Microsoft Lync for ANT-Inform company, free of charge. The event message appeared on the page of the corporate blog of integrator on October 22, 2012.

Objectives

Regional distribution ANT-Inform and a large number of large-scale projects in which implementation process project teams often appear in remote corners of Russia, caused need of changes for style of interaction.

ANT-Inform appealed to LanKey company to make expert evaluation of a situation and to propose an optimal solution. Specialists of LanKey studied the processes of interaction between employees existing in the company, means of communications also suggested to test the system of the joint communications Microsoft Lync 2010. As the solution for the customer was new, there were concerns connected with risks of loss of investments if for some reason a system does not satisfy to business needs. Options of implementation of a pilot project were considered.

But instead of the beginning of implementation of the pilot, the integrator suggested to estimate product capabilities based on a cloud service - without any costs and temporary expectations on deployment. The LanKey company free of charge made integration of Microsoft Lync from available in automatic telephone exchange company and provided one month of free use of the solution.

Solution

Having estimated possibilities of a cloud service of Microsoft Lync, the ANT-Inform company made the decision to use service in a cloud, without organizing long full-scale implementation in the company. As a result the staff of the company received the effective remedy of communications combining all necessary means of communication: An IP telephony, audio-and video conferences, instant messages and voice mail in one application. But universal access became main advantage of use of Microsoft Lync. Each employee had an opportunity to make and receive calls from any place where there is an Internet access. Integration from own corporate automatic telephone exchange of the company, allowed to save all existing landline phones and also the available extensions of employees.

Separate advantage of use of Microsoft Lync as cloud service there was the fact that the company received a system without any capital costs and as soon as possible. Acquisition of the server hardware and the software was not required. Besides, ANT-Inform it is not necessary to worry about availability and reliability of a system, and the most important about its service and employment of specialists in a product. Thereby the cloud service of Lync was economically reasonable even taking into account further operating expenses. And taking into account reducing costs for communication and increases in productivity of work of employees – the system of the joint communications began to pay off from first month of use.
