The solution of IBM formed the basis of the project of upgrade of a hardware platform in Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development

The Jet Infosystems company completed the project on upgrade of a hardware platform - Power 780 for Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the IBM company in the press release reported on October 24, 2012.

At a stage of active expansion of a branch network and growth of number of clients, the management of IT department of bank was faced by a problem of increase in computing powers for operational work of one of key banking applications – information processing on bank cards. For timely and effective solution of this task the bank selected a high-performance hardware platform of IBM company on which business applications on processing of this information were placed and the assigned task was carried out.

Solution

Two Power 780 servers were a part of the new hardware-software platform. The equipment of IBM became a core of the two-nodal cluster of high readiness guaranteeing to bank the necessary level of fault tolerance and performance of information systems.
