OTP Bank automated a control system and accounting of administrative expenses

On October 5, 2017 the Intersoft Lab company announced implementation in "OTP Bank" a control system and accounting of the administrative expenses (AE).

In OTP Bank are positive for results of application of the Budget of Household Expenses application - it provides effective operating control of target expenditure of means, guarantees high budget discipline. In addition to support of functions of estimate control the application is used for accounting of the actual budget implementation that allows employees of the bank to receive necessary the plan fact the reporting. The Budget of Household Expenses application which is a part of the Circuit CPM platform is used in bank since 2007. With its help the bank exercises operating control and accounting of the administrative expenses (AE).

All these years the application helps the staff of Management of planning and control of an operating and capital expenditure to control quickly execution of the estimate itemized by divisions of bank. "The budget of household expenses" is integrated with the Lotus Notes system which is used to electronic document management of requests of divisions for payments. From it requests for payment come to the application where their automated reconciliation with limits of planned estimates is executed, the results of check are returned in Lotus Notes and used for the acceptance of payments. Due to automation of process of control of requests the possibility of a budget overrun and inappropriate use of means is excluded. Besides, labor costs of specialists of Management on accomplishment of control functions are minimized – weekly they check more than one thousand payment documents.

On the basis of the requests given about payment coming from Lotus Notes to the system of economic budgeting, employees of the bank keep operational accounting of the actual budget implementation and prepare the reporting for the operational analysis administrative expenses by divisions of bank. On the basis of this information managers of bank can trace costs and reveal opportunities for cost optimization.

According to Intersoft Lab company, the vast majority of banks of Top-50 gave preference to technology of data warehouses (78%) as a basis for automation of a complex of tasks of business performance management, and only their insignificant part uses spreadsheets (8%) and autonomous business applications (4%).
