Klimov Alexander Alekseyevich is the rector of the Russian university of transport (MIIT).

Biography

Was born on September 4, 1961 in the village of Orekhovka of the Samara region, Russia.

Education

Graduated from the Tolyatti polytechnical institute.

Completed the correspondence postgraduate studies at Institute of problems of management of V.A. Trapeznikov of RAS^[1]

Graduated from the International academy of business and banking.

1995 - graduated from The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado^[2].

Scientific degree

Candidate of Technical Sciences in "Management in the social and economic systems"^[1]

Thesis: "Tasks of the analysis and synthesis of standard structures local and distributed databases of AIUS in the field of education"^[3].

Career

1984 - For 1990 - worked as the design engineer in scientific and technological center of AvtoVAZ.

1992 - 2005 - the vice rector, the dean, the head of the department of Non-State Educational Institution the Tolyatti academy of management.

2005 - 2012 - the vice rector, the director of institute of technologies of education, the director of the center of educational policy of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

July 5, 2012 - Dmitry Medvedev appointed Alexander Klimov the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation^[4].

Since November, 2018 - the rector of the Russian university of transport (MIIT).^[5]

According to him, the Russian universities can and should enter in the short term the international ratings, and those from them which frankly trade in diplomas - to disappear. In higher educational institutions there has to be technology revolution, in them simulators, exercise machines and other modern devices should appear. It is necessary to change also technologies of management, they should become new and modern^[10].
