Fujitsu Personal Cloud

The Fujitsu company announced in October, 2012 the principle of "a personal cloud of Fujitsu" which promises significant economy in comparison with the managed jobs of today. The statement was heard on Fujitsu Forum 2012.

Fujitsu used the Global Cloud platform for deployment of an internal experimental system which will provide access to each user to own personal cloud of Fujitsu. As all services are supported in a reliable data processing center of Fujitsu, jobs of users and the business application become available almost from any device connected to network. Depending on project deliverables which will be carried out to the companies in the end of the year Fujitsu will decide whether it is worth expanding an experiment in practice with involvement of users.

The personal cloud of Fujitsu is designed to eliminate a gap between legacy corporate systems and the growing demand for gaining access to business information from any place and at any time. At the same time it should provide economy due to cost reduction on device management and security and reduction of overhead costs of administration and service.

Benno Tsollner, the executive director on information technologies of Fujitsu Technology Solutions, commented: "Thanks to these tests we will define business benefits of providing the organization of a workplace to users of an additional opportunity depending on their individual requirements based on a personal cloud of Fujitsu. The idea consists in supporting in current status the current technology due to ensuring compatibility of almost any device sold today in the market with a personal cloud and at the same time to save an opportunity for the organizations to effectively expand the classical corporate infrastructures in cloud services".
