The Microsoft branch on Skype announced in the fall of 2012 start of the on-line SITW Skype platform aimed at the help of small and medium business to the enterprises for communication with business partners around the world. The SITW platform helps to connect firms face to face to their clients and perspectives irrespective of where they are located, opening for them the world of new opportunities.

The free tool is already active as start notes the end six-months a beta of testing which included 500 firms, offering a set of different services to test the platform.

Firms can join community, using the accounts of Skype, and then to create public "offers" or "opportunities" via a series of the enclosed tools to invite associates to Skype sessions for demonstration of the products or services of wide audience. Users can also order meetings with potential clients or suppliers and to trace them, using service of notifications. When opportunities are created, clients can draw the conclusions on the offered products or services.

Three main objectives of SITW consist in providing to small businesses services which are required for them from global community of experts, to add tools for opening of new opportunities, to help owners of business to receive the maximum return from new services Skype.

Earlier Skype announced that Microsoft integrates the chat of Windows Live Messenger with the platform. Being connected to Skype, users of Windows Live Messenger can get more broad support of devices, vkyuchy iPad Apple and Google tablets, all platforms and also a possibility of instant messaging, video conferences, connections with wire and mobile phones from one device. Users also get access to such functions as sharing of screens, video calls from mobile phones and from friends from Facebook and also group calls.
