SafenSoft 3.9.1

On July 7, 2014, SafenSoft announced the release of update version 3.9.1, which affected the entire line of products to provide information security.

Users have access to support for Windows 8.1, improved remote administration and added new options for the SafenSoft SysWatch module.

SafenSoft 3.10

SafenSoft updated its entire line of products to version 3.10 in the fall of 2014. The update included functional enhancements in both server and client modules. An optimized role-based management subsystem allows for more granular configuration of privileges for users. Version 3.10 SafenSoft Admin Console enables the system administrator to quickly monitor client application statuses (proactive protection status statuses, recent antivirus scans, profile collection and updates), and monitors the online operation of SafenSoft DLP Client modules. Release 3.10 also expanded administrative functions for remote control policy management, and in the SafenSoft SysWatch client component version 3.10, it became possible to directly manage the composition of the system profile through the graphical interface of the program.

The company pays special attention to the reliability of the Service Center component. The release includes the ability to automatically create a backup copy and restore the service center from it using product tools, which reduces the time for administrator operations, SafenSoft noted.

Also, version 3.10 of the product provides the functionality of adapting to the client infrastructure. The system independently organizes the interaction between the components of the additional backup recovery server: the backup recovery server implemented in version 3.10 plays an important role in the stable operation of the system. After activating it, the client application can be guaranteed to receive the correct list of addresses and restore the lost connection to the server, the company emphasized.

2013: SafenSoft 3.9

On November 19, 2013, SafenSoft announced the release of a new version of SafenSoft 3.9 information security tools.

As part of the SafenSoft 3.9 package, supplemented and improved solutions for ensuring the integrity of the software environment of corporate workstations and servers, self-service devices (ATMs, payment and POS terminals, information kiosks), solutions for protecting PCS elements and medical equipment, WEB servers. SafenSoft's proactive dome protection technologies provide reliable protection against malicious code and hacker attacks, including targeted, attempts to modify the computer's software environment, and also allow you to detect and prevent malicious insider actions.

The main difference between version 3.9 and the previous one is in changing the architecture of the SafenSoft line of software products: the level of their security has improved, the functionality of the server part and solution components has expanded. The implementation of different security elements in one organization has been greatly simplified.

New features have appeared in remote administration and client reporting modes. Individual modules have received additional functionality, thanks to which the integrity of the computer's software environment is now also preserved by controlling DLL libraries and drivers, and controlling file paths.

The introduction of solutions into the IT environment has been significantly simplified with the possibility of installing a ready-made configuration with the built-in free DBMSicrosoft SQL Server 2008 R2. Administration has become more effective: the function of a role-based approach to management and various group operations with client modules, the ability to use user filters in reports has been implemented.

Modification of executable files by non-installer processes is prohibited. A configuration wizard has been prepared to quickly create a server configuration. These additions made it easier to set up SafenSoft security solutions in large companies.

According to Stanislav Shevchenko, technical director of SafenSoft, information technologies are developing rapidly, and new threats cannot be responded to reactively:
  • The level and variety of cyber attacks will always be two steps ahead of traditional defense methods. Therefore, information systems need not to be protected from any specific known threats, but to level the very possibility of penetrating them. The new version of our products will allow companies and government agencies to have an adequate modern tool in their security system. It will allow organizations to carry out their activities without regard to cyber threats, both external and internal, absolutely regardless of attempts to damage data or software. If our security system was on computers operating uranium enrichment centrifuges in Iran, the infamous Stuxnet worm could not disrupt their performance, and if Mexican banks took care of protecting their ATM networks from information threats, Ploutus could not cause them any damage. We, in turn, are doing everything to provide organizations with reliable protection of all elements of their infrastructure from cyber attacks.

SafenSoft TPSecure 3.7

In December 2012, SafenSoft announced the successful testing of Diebold, Inc ATMs and SafenSoft TPSecure 3.7 information security solution for compatibility.

The SafenSoft TPSecure 3.7 specifications have been confirmed to be in compliance with all operating modes of the equipment. Testing of all functionality was successful. During the audit in the Diebold laboratory, there was no decrease in the performance of ATM software when used with SafenSoft TPSecure 3.7, the performance of the used Diebold Opteva ATM models is maintained at the optimal level.

Diebold, Inc. is one of the leading suppliers of hardware and technology solutions for automating banking activities and has been developing and producing self-service banking terminals and software for them for about fifty years. Currently, there are more than 16 thousand Diebold ATMs in Russia.

The TPSecure 3.7 software package is a SafenSoft solution for protecting software for self-service banking devices (ATMs, terminals, POS terminals, etc.). SafenSoft TPSecure eliminates any possibility of undesirable impact on the functioning of a self-service device (ATM), both intelligent (injection of malicious code) and physical (use of unauthorized devices). This is achieved by monitoring the integrity of the entire system, so that the device can function stably without the need for updates, controlling the launch and behavior of all processes and preventing unauthorized software changes or access to data by maintenance personnel or hackers.
