In September, 2012 the PiterSoft company completed an implementation project of a monitoring system of repairs of harvesting and transport vessels in "The Northwest Fishing Company — Murmansk" company, the company integrator reported on November 29, 2012.
Objectives
NP SZRK carries annually out the large volume of ship-repair works. The parent company SZRK-Murmansk LLC has office in St. Petersburg, and the production divisions specializing in accomplishment of ship repairs are in Murmansk. With respect thereto it is difficult to company management to control processes of ship repair, input perspective in a system of watercrafts, expenditure of finance, etc. It is important to management to understand in what stage there is a repair of each vessel what materials and spare parts purchased. With respect thereto there was a need of monitoring of the processes going at the ship-repair plant.
For monitoring of processes of repair and control of purchases of Inventories the guide of the Customer needs to have exhaustive data on the course of repair work on each unit of the fleet in a compact and evident type. Providing management company with operational information about the course of repair of each vessel became a project task: terms and types of repair, the works which are already performed and proceeding at the moment, the purchased spare parts and the list of the forthcoming purchases made and the planned costs.
The PiterSoft company took part in the solution of a task and the software product "PiterSoft is selected: Process management". The customer was attracted by ample opportunities of the program and the general platform with software "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8" which is already used in the company.
Solution
During the period from March to September, 2012 the PiterSoft company completed all phases of the project, from problem definition before implementation. Works were carried out as at the central office of the Customer in St. Petersburg, and in Murmansk where examination of the enterprise and poll of users is conducted. The most difficult and responsible stage at accomplishment of such projects is formalization and creation of a process model. For the Customer business process of ship repairs is selected, formalized, automated. All necessary elements of electronic document management are developed, panels of participants of business process are created, the system of access is organized, security measures are provided. 15 jobs are automated.
Result
The customer received an effective monitoring system of activity of one of the most difficult sections of the business.
