The Skolkovo Foundation begins to use the solution of Cisco WebEx for joint work support

In the fall of 2012 the Skolkovo Foundation begins to use Cisco WebEx Internet service for carrying out working meetings, webinars and remote training. For this purpose each employee of fund (in the state more than 500 people) will get corporate access to this solution. According to the technical director of Cisco in Russia Kuzmich of Andrey, "the Skolkovo Foundation one of the Russia's first and other CIS countries will begin to use advantages of a corporate subscription to Cisco WebEx. Its feature is that everything, without exception, the staff of fund will have an opportunity to apply Cisco WebEx in the work. Such approach will allow to gain Skolkovo synergy effect of use of the innovation approaches to the organization of joint work".

The Cisco WebEx technology is applied to holding multimedia online conferences. As a result the need for long and expensive business trips decreases. The cloud technology of Cisco WebEx for joint work (Cisco WebEx Collaboration Cloud) gives the chance to exchange documents and information, at the same time providing the high level of information security, supports in real time voice transmission and data and also the organization of web negotiations with use of video. Four principal components are a part of the solution Cisco WebEx: Meeting Center, Training Center, Event Center and Support Center. Access to them can be got using any device worldwide.

The chief information officer of Skolkovo Foundation Mikhail Berman added: "As the corporate subscription does not limit the number of the conferences organized using Cisco WebEx, we expect that the intensity of use of this solution will grow in geometrical progression. Besides application of Cisco WebEx service does not require continued support from our IT service as access to it is provided in the SaaS format".

Cisco WebEx Meeting Center provides:

  • Product demonstration, holding commercial presentations and general meetings of the working groups.
  • Work on Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris, UNIX and on mobile devices.
  • Support up to 500 participants with a possibility of further expansion.

Cisco WebEx Training Center gives the chance:

  • train in real time using interactive multimedia means of teaching.
  • Estimate qualification and loyalty using the built-in means of questioning, holding polls and examinations.
  • Cut down expenses on training, cover wider audience and increase learning efficiency.
  • Train up to 1,000 listeners.

Cisco WebEx Support Center:

  • provides unlimited technical support in real time for all users.
  • Provides the fast remote solution of technical issues and eliminates need for expensive departures to the customer.
  • Accelerates process of preparation of answers to questions of the users addressing in help desk, and increases service quality of customers.
  • Gives the chance to connect up to 10 participants to each session of remote support.

Cisco WebEx Event Center:
