Law enforcement agencies of Ecuador purchased the Russian development of accounting and identification of the personality

In Ecuador the project of creation of the first-ever accounting system and identification of the personality on two biometric signs – on a voice and on the person is complete at once. The Center of Speech Technologies (CST) company developed, the company reported on December 3, 2012.

The foreign governments and security services use developments of CST. For example, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mexico and Ecuador implemented the system of identification on the person and a voice of CST at the state level. Such system allows to identify the person on the basis of the analysis video and the audiofragments available from different sources, and already significantly increased the number of detected crimes and the delayed criminals. One more product of CST, the biometric system of identification on the person of SmartTracker.FRS, is actively used at the airports and also at football stadiums and ice arenas for access control and operational monitoring.

Background

In base of nation-wide scale are collected and records of voices and the photo of persons of the citizens of Ecuador brought to trial are stored. If during the investigation of case record of a voice or the photographic image of the person of the suspect appears, his personality can be identified, comparing the available sample to samples from the database. A system will offer options with the maximum percent of coincidence. Thus, in case there will be "catch" which considerably is bringing closer all investigation to success.

Natural addition to voice biometrics is face recognition. The combination of two biometric characteristics of the created system increases chances of successful identification of the suspect as sufficient is an existence at least of one sample – either the facsimile of the person, or record of a voice.

Expectations

The solution is created on the basis of technology of the voice biometrics integrated with biometrics for the person – it will become simpler to find criminals in the country of the Latin American continent.
