Russian light (Oracle Business Intelligence)

The Russian Light company completed deployment of analytical reporting system on a technology platform of Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 11g. Over 100 implemented analytical reports and 25 data domains provide the staff of the enterprise with operational information for decision making. Daily more than 1000 people in 95 branches in 88 cities of Russia use a system, carrying out 1 million transactions.

"The Russian Light" is the commodity distribution network connecting producers and consumers of electrotechnical products. The company applies the latest logistic technologies and information systems in the activity. Within the project integration of the implemented system with a single corporate system on the basis of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 is carried out, a part of the reporting is transferred to the system of the business analysis that lowered load of the accounting system. As result, users received the tool for independent creation of reports. At the same time obtaining the consolidated statements accelerated. On a response of the customer, the mobile solution Oracle BI Enterprise Edition became important advantage. In general daily about 20% of all staff of the company work with a system.

For strategy implementation of the company aimed at extensive business development and quality improvement of customer service there was a need for analytical reporting system. The management of Russian Light made the decision on the choice of a technology platform for the business analysis of Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, expanding thus use of products of Oracle in the company and consolidating achievements of projects on implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and Oracle Database 11g with Oracle Active Data Guard.

According to Oracle, within deployment of Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 11g three subject business areas and also the universal system of access rights of users to a BI system are developed. The project covered both the central office, and branches across all territory of Russia and was executed by a team of the customer in 2 months.
